Exam Tips (1 & 2)

To my dearest friend:
How do you feel about exams?
-Confident?
-Don't care?
-Nervous?
-Anxious?
-Calm?
-Energized?
Be aware of how you feel. Know yourself.
Be prepared to take action to succeed.

Tip #1: Be Prepared.
Exam prep. begins on the first day you walk into class.
Make sure you know at least 1 person in each of your classes.
Take good notes. If you miss one, refer to your contact above and get it.
Pretend that there'll be a pop quiz at the end of each class.
Maintain your focus.
Make a schedule or planner for yourself at least two weeks before exams begin.
Keep a copy handy with your review notes, and post a copy around your study area.
Remember to schedule breaks: Experts say 10 minutes of every hour should be break time.
Study during the day: Daytime study can be as much as twice as effective as night time study.
Make it realistic and stick to it.

Tip #2: Summary Sheets
Begin with your difficult, least liked, subjects first.
As you summarize your class notes, you are relearning the material.
Don't be afraid to use a highlighter or coloured pen to focus you notes.
If you notice you have missed a note (or two), talk to your friend the next day and get it.
Ask your teacher for help now if you don't understand a section.

Tomorrow I'll write 2-3 more tips.
And I typed this.
It was from a sheet a teacher gave us.
Good luck V. :)
